The situation has continued to deteriorate following persistent heavy rainfall, resulting in widespread flooding, landslides, casualties, displacement and damage to households, infrastructure and livelihoods. According to the latest Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecast, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected to continue through 11 July 2026, maintaining a high risk of additional flooding and landslides across the southeastern region. BDRCS continuously monitoring the situation through its central Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) and continues to coordinate closely with its district units, the Population Movement Operation (PMO) in Cox’s Bazar, district administrations, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) and other humanitarian partners. Response efforts currently include volunteer mobilization, search and rescue support, public awareness campaigns, evacuation assistance, first aid, emergency food assistance, and preparedness measures in high-risk communities. The attached report provides the latest operational updates, impact overview, response actions, forecast information, and resource mobilization efforts to support a common operational picture and facilitate coordinated humanitarian action.
