Kick off workshop for Livelihood and DRR Project

BDRCS Barishal Unit office arranged a project kick off workshop for the UKAID Match funded Livelihood and DRR Project on 31 March 2021 at Grand Park Hotel of Barishal. Civil Surgeon of Barishal and Assistant Police Commissioner of Barishal were present as guests in the workshop. Among others, representatives from different government and city corporation departments, INGOs, NGOs, community members were present during the workshop. There was a short presentation on the project followed by a question and answer session. Project personnel captured some good suggestions such as inclusion of disable people, children and women for the project for better outcomes of the project.

BDRCS and British Red Cross representatives also requested continuous support and feedback to the project in the coming days and emphasized on increased collaboration among all for betterment of the most disadvantaged community people of Barishal. It is to be noted that this 3-year project initiated in 1st of January 2021 and earlier there was a project, Vulnerability to Resilience (V2R) on wash and DRR in the same locations. BDRCS Barishal Unit is implementing the project whereas British Red Crescent has been providing technical support for smooth implementation of the project.
