BDRCS as an ‘Auxiliary to the Government’ keeps continued its humanitarian assistances with the support of the IFRC, UNHCR, ICRC and other RCRC National Partners Societies (PNSs) in collaboration with the RRRC, Civil Surgeon, other Government sectors and humanitarian agencies.
In June, the operation was impeded due to imposed strict lockdown throughout the country and in the camp settlement to curb transmission of COVID-19. Staff continued delivery their business hour as per roster basis and volunteer’s movement toward the camps also scaled down in the pandemic second wave. With the government, Red Crescent Youth (RCYs) volunteers have been persistently ensuring their wholehearted support to roll out the vaccination program.
