Population Movement Operation (PMO) of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) reached a total of 115,968 people including 86,686 from Camps and 29,282 from the local community in May, 2024. The key humanitarian services were healthcare including clinical service, Community-Based Health and First Aid (CBHFA), Mental Health & Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), Disaster & Climate Risk Management (DCRM), WASH, Livelihood, Shelter, Non-Formal Education, etc.
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and eight Red Cross Red Cross (#RCRC) National Societies (American Red Cross, Danish Red Cross, German Red Cross, Japanese Red Cross, Qatar Red Crescent, Swedish Red Cross, Swiss Red Cross and Turkish Red Crescent) are supporting BDRCS to implement the operation.
Protection, Gender & Inclusion (PGI) and Community Engagement & Accountability (CEA), the two cross-cutting approaches are ensuring inclusiveness, dignity, participation and accountability with all the stakeholders.
