Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) reached a total of 127,600 people comprising 100,217 from camp settlements and 27,383 from the local or host community through humanitarian assistance in February 2024 by implementing the Population Movement Operation (PMO) in Cox’s Bazar.
The major humanitarian interventions are Health (including Clinical services, Community-Based Health & First Aid and Psychosocial Support), Disaster & Climate Risk Management (DCRM), Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), Livelihood and Shelter etc.
Throughout the implementation process, BDRCS has maintained a commitment to uphold dignity, access, participation, safety, transparency, and accountability within the community.
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and nine other Red Cross Red Crescent partners have been supporting BDRCS in the implementation.
