To gain firsthand insights into the ongoing project; A high-level delegation from the Swiss Red Cross Headquarters, led by Mr. Benedikt Kaelin, the Program Coordinator, embarked on a remarkable field visit to the Reinforcing Rural Resilience project in Kurigram district. The Swiss Red Cross (SRC) delegation, along with representatives SRC country team Mr. Sanjib Biswas and Upazali Nirbahi Officer(UNO) of Rajibpur Upazila accompanied by local government officials and Kurigram Unit Secretary ATM Akhtar Hossain Chinu joined the field visit.
During their visit, the delegation had the opportunity to explore various project interventions that play a vital role in enhancing the resilience of rural communities in the face of adversity. The delegation actively engaged in awareness sessions, contributing to knowledge sharing and capacity building. A noteworthy moment was the delegation’s participation in the Village Disaster Management Committee meeting and community awareness dissemination session.
As a closing remark of the visit Mr. Benedikt Kaelin, the Program Coordinator said “This visit reaffirmed my belief in the transformative power of humanitarian work and the strength of our partnerships.
