Situation Report 4 Fire in Camp 11

In response of devastating fire in camp 11 on 5 March 2023, BDRCS/IFRC continued supporting to the fire affected families at a stretch for the 4th day. In
this regard, BDRCS/IFRC continuously coordinating and communicating with the Office of the Refugee, Relief and Repatriation Commissioner (RRRC), Inter Sector Coordination Group (ISCG), IOM and sector focal agencies of camp 11 for the smooth response operation aiming to alleviate sufferings of the fire affected people. In the fourth day of the Fire response, camp level coordination meeting highlighted that the standard package in providing emergency food assistance set by the Food Security Sector must be adhered by all agencies. Presently, construction of Mid-Term Shelter (MTS) is one of the most essential priorities while coordination between RRRC and humanitarian community in Cox’s Bazar and camp level are ongoing to ensure the initial phase of construction of the damaged shelters shall begin immediately. As of this reporting period, no death cases has been reported and missing cases are currently being resolved.
