Md. Ehsan-E-Elahi, Deputy Secretary General, BDRCS

Md. Ehsan-E-Elahi is the Deputy Secretary General of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS). A retired Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh and a highly experienced senior public-sector administrator with over three decades of distinguished service in public administration, policy formulation, institutional governance, development management, labor and migration governance, humanitarian affairs, and public-sector reform.

During his distinguished career, he served in several senior positions, including Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh, Chairman of the Land Reforms Board, Chairman of BCIC, Chairman of BRTC, Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, and Deputy Commissioner.

He brings extensive experience in strategic leadership, organizational management, policy implementation, inter-agency coordination, disaster and humanitarian management, and engagement with national and international stakeholders, including ILO, IOM, UN agencies, ADB, World Bank, and WHO.

In his new capacity, Mr. Ehsan-E-Elahi is expected to contribute to strengthening strategic leadership, institutional governance, humanitarian coordination, government and stakeholder relations, organizational development, and operational effectiveness in furtherance of the mandate and objectives of BDRCS.
