Unit Establishment:
As per the PO 26 Article 16 of BDRCS, Narayanganj Unit was established in 1973 by the founding Vice- Chairman of Mr. Khaza Mohiuddin and the founding Chairman was Abdul Hi, former DC. Mr. Bazlur Rahman was the first secretary of the unit executive committee (EC) among the other seven EC members. Since then a committee was actively participated at the humanitarian activities in the unit. Unit Establishment
Members of the Unit:
The life members of the unit are life-line of the society which stands based on the membership. Mir Md. Farid Uddin was the first life member of the unit. Currently, there are 981 registered members among 909 are males and 72 are females.
Status of Unit:
The unit operates the administrative tasks of the unit through its own office.

SECRETARY of BDRCS Narayanganj Unit, HASAN FERDOUS JEWEL, an Advocate of Bangladesh Supreme Court by profession was born on September 9, to a respectable Muslim family in the Sonargaon Upazila under Narayanganj District. He got Master Degree in Mathematics and LL.B. degree from Dhaka University.
Hasan Ferdous Jewel was the General Secretary for two times and also was President of Narayanganj District Bar Association for four times. He is actively associated with many social, cultural & educational organizations. He was the National Secretary and National President of Apex Clubs of Bangladesh, International Chairman of Apex Global, General Secretary of World Council of Service Clubs (Asia Pacific Region), and General Secretary of Apex Bangladesh Foundation. He is also the Executive Director of Interights Bangladesh, President, Founder Organizing Secretary of Narayanganj Sangskritik Jot, and many others. He is the Registered Graduate of Dhaka University.
A renowned TV Actor, Lawyer, and Social Worker Jewel married Adv. Syeda Wahida Ahammad, Government Lawyer (V.P.) of Narayanganj District and blessed with son Wasiq Ferdous Rafat, A graduate in Computer Science & Engineering, and daughter Jaima Ferdous Hiya, Student of Law, BRAC University. He visited the U.S.A., Australia, Sweden, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, India, etc.
