Unit background:

Brahmanbaria is a district in eastern Bangladesh located in the Chittagong Division. Geographically, it is mostly farmland and is topographically part of the Gangetic Plain. Brahmanbaria District Red Crescent Unit was established on 30 December 1972 to serve the people of Brahmanbaria. The Brahmanbaria Red Crescent Unit started its operations on 30 December 1972 at the temporary office on Hospital Road in the district town. At present all the activities of the unit are going on in its own building.
