1.Background: Bagerhat Red Crescent was establishment in 1973. The Unit Chairman was Mr M.M Zaman (Subdivisional Administrator, Bagerhat). The Unit office was constructed on 8 December,1979 by the contribution of Mr M.M Zaman (Subdivisional Administrator, Bagerhat) and Unit Executive Committee. The first floor was inaugurated by Mr Shahabuddin Ahmed (Ex-Justice and President of BD government). The Unit Bhaban was metamorphosed in three multi storied building on 8 April, 2008 by the contributions of UEC and NHQ authority. Three multi storied Bhaban was inaugurated by Professor Dr Mohammad Abdur Rob (Ex-Chairman, BDRCS).
At present the Unit has 2719 life members (Male-2194, Female- 525).
